Tips & Tricks to Choosing the Best Tiles for Your Bathroom

The Best Bathroom Tiles For You

Finding the best tiles for your bathroom can be a challenging task, it may seem simple when thinking about the idea but when seeing all the options it can be confusing to know exactly what you want to go for. What do you want to see when you walk into your bathroom? Shower? Bathtub? Or gorgeous tiles.

What’s the Best Bathroom Tile?

One way of choosing a bathroom tile is to find a design that you really love. Maybe you have been scrolling through Instagram or Pinterest looking at bathroom ideas and see a certain pattern, colour or theme that you like. You could always opt for a feature wall and have the tiles on one wall if you are worried that the pattern or colour is too bold for the whole room.

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions

If you have already chosen the flooring for your bathroom you will need to make sure that it is not going to clash with the tiles that you choose. If you like contrasting walls and floor tiles there are a lot of options out there. If you have painted walls as well as tiles, then it is normally best to go for a lighter colour otherwise it can look like there is too much going on in one room.

If you are going for the fresh and clean vibe with bright white tiles, then a dark grey or black grout can look really nice and make the tiles stand out. Tip-mould resistant grout makes life so much easier when it comes to cleaning and can also prolong the life of the tiles as they won’t get ruined by mould.

Small Bathroom? Not a Problem

When your bathroom is on the smaller side, we often rule out a lot of things because the bathrooms ‘too small’ or ‘there’s not enough room’. But if you place things in the right way and choose the right designs it can make your bathroom appear bigger. A small bathroom can really benefit from a large tile. With fewer grout lines in the wall, it can make the bathroom appear bigger, even though they do accentuate the tiles and the beauty of them the room can look a lot bigger without extra grout lines in the tiles. Don’t overfill the bathroom, yes, it’s nice to have a few accessories but doesn’t go overboard, the fewer things you have in the bathroom the bigger it will seem.

Consider Cleaning

Cleaning your bathroom is essential. Some styles of tiles are beautiful, yes, but difficult to clean. One of those styles is natural stone. It is stunning, but difficult to clean. Porcelain or ceramic can be much easier to clean due to the fact that they don’t have pores that hold dirt and grime, which eventually tarnish the tiles.
